Variable Frequency Drive Control Panels.
Variable frequency drive control
panels are supplied either in a Nema 4 painted steel enclosure or a Nema 4X
stainless steel enclosure and are suitable for use on 480 Volt, 3 Phase, 60
Hertz service.
The enclosures are
provided with an inlet air filter and exhaust fan which are covered by rain
hoods to stop the ingress of falling rain and other liquids.
A hinged window kit
is provided to enclose all of the control devices to prevent unauthorized
operation of the system; this kit can also be provided with a key lock.
The variable frequency drive control panels
come standard with a main circuit breaker with an external operating handle,
MTE series RL 5% line reactor for reducing harmonic currents and frequencies,
F7 series Yaskawa variable frequency drive for control of the centrifuge and a
electromechanical starter together with a 3-phase overload relay protection for
control of the feed pump.
The power wiring
from the variable frequency drive and the electromechanical starter is wired to
Nema 4/Nema 4X receptacles mounted in the side of the enclosure, mating plugs
are also provided for cable connections to the respective motors.
The variable frequency drive control devices consist of a pilot light for power-on indication, a selector
switch for local/remote operation, elapsed time meter for total system running
time, ammeter for centrifuge running ampacities, potentiometer for external
speed control of the centrifuge and a keypad for the variable frequency drive.
The variable
frequency drive keypad will assist in the initial setup of the system by
allowing auto-tuning of the motor together with other settings that are
pertinent to each installation.
Various options are
available such as:
230 Volt, 3 Phase, 60 Hertz systems.
380 / 415 Volt, 3 Phase, 50 Hertz systems.
Start - Stop push buttons for local control mounted in the control panel door).
Start - Stop push buttons for remote control mounted in Nema 4/4X or Nema 7 enclosures
dependent on location.
Multiple variable frequency drive systems.
